Maharajas’ Express brings you a luxury train tour to Jaipur. Known as the Pink City of India, Jaipur is the capital of the royal state of Rajasthan. Jaipur was ruled by the Rajput kingdoms for many centuries and was developed as a planned city in the 17th century AD. It forms a part of the west Golden Triangle tourist circuit along with Delhi and Agra and is one of the most famous tourist circuits in the country. The city is well-planned and surrounded by walls and gates decorated with drawings on the backdrop of a beautiful pink hue. Needless to say, the pink city has managed to retain its old-world charm and successfully blend it with the new-age vibrancy of today’s architecture.
The Jaipur tour, aboard the luxury train Maharajas’ Express, offers you a chance to visit to many magnificent forts, palaces, temples and museums spread across the beautiful city. Predominantly, it covers two prominent UNESCO World Heritage Sites of India – Amber Fort and Jantar Mantar. The tour also gives the guests a perfect opportunity to visit the most-thronged shopping vistas that have casually sprung up beside these gleaming forts and palaces. A shopper’s paradise, these alleys are filled with bustling local bazaars where you can shop to your heart’s desire for local Rajasthani dress material, camel leather items, jewelry, handicrafts items, Jaipuri carpets and duvets among others. Other popular bazaars where you can shop include Bapu Bazaar, Tripolia Bazaar and Johri Bazaar.
Jaipur is one of the largest cities in India, it houses some of the most exotic resorts and hotels in the world. It is also a food lover’s haven as it has several well-known restaurants that serve mouth-watering authentic Rajasthani dishes like- Ghewar, Pyaaz Kachori, Gatte Ki Sabzi and Dal Baati Churma among others.
Along with a beautiful tour of the city, the luxurious Maharajas’ Express also comes fully-equipped with several amenities and world-class facilities. There are 4 accommodation options including the Deluxe Cabin, Junior Suite, Suite and a Presidential Suite which has attached bathrooms with bathrobes, geysers, a hairdryer, towels and slippers. The train is also equipped with centralized air-conditioner, luggage fold underneath the bed, a foot massager, a writing table with 2 chairs, bed linen, etc. Passengers get complimentary tea, coffee, mineral water bottles and light snacks which are available at the guests’ disposal round the clock.
