The following blog explains in great detail the entire layout of the world’s leading luxury train, Maharajas’ Express.
Maharajas’ Express is not only India’s vital player in the market of luxury tourism but has also become serious contender for luxury trains worldwide. The train has been honored with the title of “World’s leading luxury train” for four times in a row in the highly esteemed World Travel Awards. The train has been exhibited in many ITB destinations, the latest one being Berlin and every passenger as well as every critic has been awed by the sheer opulence and grand look of the train.
The train has been adorned and designed to replicate a ride of royalty, the one which can transport its guest to the erstwhile era of Maharajas, the Indian emperors. Cabins-
There are four different types of cabins and each one is available in with twin beds and double beds, except Suite, where you have only double beds. The different cabins are-
1) 20 Deluxe Cabins
2) 18 Junior Suites
3) 4 Suites
4) 1 Presidential SuiteThese cabins are completely equipped with all kinds of modernistic facilities such as LCD TV screens, DVD players, individual temperature controllers, en-suite bathrooms and even personal safes. Completed with antique furniture, these cabins definitely make the guest feel like kings of luxury and to add their charm they have also been named after Indian gems like Hakik (Agate).
The grandiose Presidential suite has expansive bedrooms and a living room and is appropriately called Navratan- mixture of nine gems. The guests who book this elegant suite also get exclusive 24 hour valet service.
Restaurants- The two thematically designed Maharajas’ express luxury restaurants namely Rang Mahal and Mayur Mahal serve lip-smacking indigenous and global dishes.
Rang Mahal- Which literally means palace of colors and along with iridescence it also has a hand-painted fresco ceiling.
Mayur Mahal- Just like its twin companion even Mayur Mahal seats 42 guests and has been named after Peacock, the national bird of India.
Lounges and Bar Cars-Luxury is incomplete with royal indulgence in leisure. For this purpose we have a thematic bar that is known as Safari Bar. The place has the appropriate ambience to unwind and break the ice with other passengers of a glass of finest wines. Best of alcoholic beverages in house pours and guests can also refresh with our special cocktails. Safari Bar also has board games and a collection of books for children and avid readers.
Rajah Club is also a palatial lounge and bar and also sandouk, the souvenir shop.
