Maharajas’ Express recently added another jewel to its crown after bagging the World Travel Awards for the fourth time. The following blog talks about its previous victories and about the lavish award ceremony.

Throughout the travel world, the palatial Maharajas’ Express has earned itself the reputation of “World’s leading luxury train” and behind the legacy of luxury tourism it has created there are numerous memories and shimmering smiles. While collecting smiles and conjuring memories, we did cross a few milestones and that made our journey all the more memorable. With the end of this year, we are proud to announce that we have won the World Travel Awards for the year 2015 for “World’s Leading Luxury Train”

Back in 2012, just a few years from its inception, Maharajas’ Express won the prestigious World Travel Awards for the first time and as the years went by, we crossed few more milestones and bagged the same laurelled award for 2013, 2014 and now even for 2015. Maharajas’ Express, is known for catering to inquistive tourists from all corners of the world, it journeys to exquisite locations of India and showcases the iridescence of Indian culture through its five meticulously crafted itineraries- Indian Splendor, The Heritage of India, Indian Panorama, Gems of India and Treasures of India.

All over the travel industry, World Travel Awards are considered to be the pinnacle of excellence and an ultimate trademark of quality. Incepted in 1993, the awards celebrated their 22nd anniversary this year and the event was organized at the lavish Mazagan Beach and Golf Resort, in Morocco. The award ceremony was attended by 300 global leaders of tourism and was broadcasted in 200 countries to a vast audience of 300 million. For past four years, Maharajas has been a part of this eminent group of global leaders; the leaders who have pushed beyond the boundaries and have set new parameters of excellence.

The Maharajas’ Express gives you the experience of travelling through the alluring Indian lands in utmost luxury. Interiors of the train have a royal charm to it and its two thematic restaurants- Mayur Mahal and Rang Mahal, are nothing less than royal kitchens serving all kind of global as well as traditional delicacies. It has four different cabin configurations which include 20 Deluxe Cabins, 18 Junior Suites, 4 Suites and a grandiose Presidential Suite; all rooms boast of elegance and are equipped with all kinds of modernistic facilities ranging from large panoramic windows to individual temperature controllers.

The fourth consecutive win of World Travel Award is Maharajas’ Express’ third victory of 2015 as it had previously won the international Seven Stars Awards in the category of “Luxury Hospitality and Lifestyle Awards” along with CNBC Awaaz travel awards. This has provided the perfect closure to 2015 but we still hope to cross more milestones and conjure more memories in the years to come too.
